To be successful in this role, you should have a good understanding of lending procedures and stakeholder support experience.

Ultimately, you will help our clients acquire a home loan in a timely manner, while ensuring we comply with regulatory requirements.

**Job Description**:
Home Loan Assessments:

- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Assessments are controlled by Credit Mandates allocated to individuals, based on knowledge, skills, and experience whilst ensuring that the outcome is aligned to the bank’s risk appetite.

Stakeholder Engagement:

- Collaborate with various stakeholders, in a professional manner.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners.

Volume Management:

- Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and maintain service levels.
- Implement streamlined processes for efficiency.

Decision Making:

- Make informed and well-supported credit decisions.
- Utilize credit scoring models and risk assessment tools.
- Present recommendations and justifications for credit approvals or declines.
- Analysis of Company Annual Financial statements, Cash Flow projections, Financial Ratios and Company Management statements.

Risk Management:

- Mitigate risks through thorough analysis and adherence to risk management protocols.
- Continuously identify, analyses and monitor economic and industry trends, and implement remedial actions of the assessment criteria in collaboration with the Risk Team.

Compliance:

- Ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements and internal compliance Standards and Procedures.
- Keep abreast of changes in legislation impacting home loan assessments.

Reporting:

- Provide insights into key performance indicators and trends.

Qualifications and Skills:

- NQF6 required, NQF7 preferred in Accounting, Economics, Banking, Credit, Finance, or relevant field.
- Exposure to secured or unsecured credit lending
- 3 to 5 years home loans experience preferred.
- Exposure to Credit assessments preferred.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- Proficiency in using credit scoring models and risk assessment tools.
- Familiarity with relevant software and technology platforms.

Education

Bachelor's Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (required)
