- As a Brand and PR Manager, you will be responsible for the following activities:
**PUBLIC RELATIONS**
- Create and maintain a favorable public image for the company by communicating programs, accomplishments and/or points of view.
- Field media questions and pitching stories to the media, preparing media kits and organizing press conferences.
- Writing press releases, write speeches for organizational leaders
- Develop advertising and marketing communications material and prepare articles for corporate newsletters.
- Release information to counter negative publicity
- Handle crisis and emergency communications.
- Oversee full-time employee/s
- Where applicable hire and manage freelance copywriters, graphic designers
- Manage PR budget.
- Manage Strategic PR agency
- Assist EP with crisis comms and PR

**BRAND MANAGEMENT**

**Customer and Market Segment Understanding/ Insights**:
Develop intimate knowledge of customer attitudes & behavior within defined segments ( Retail / General Trade / Lubricants / B2B / New energies)
- Assess and interpret market research / competitor reviews**Brand / Segment Strategy Development and Budget Management and control**:
Develop and implement TotalEnergies Brand Strategy internally & externally, with a focus on New Energies and MS Roadmap
- Develop and implement customer/ segment specific marketing strategies- Manage, evaluate and optimize marketing spend by integrating all marketing efforts (advertising, promotions) within a consistent marketing plan.
- Measure impact of Marketing initiatives, review Brand Barometers, and build & maintain programs and initiatives, which ensure Marketing is Number one with Customer**Mix Development & Brand Communication**:

- Develop communication plans for respective segments & search for innovative brand communication
- Brief and work with Agencies on brand/ segment requirements to maximize value from Agencies
- Assist in measuring Agency performance according to agreed standards.

- The South African energy market is in a flux of change with amendments and implementation of new acts. The petroleum industry operates within a regulated framework. TotalEnergies Marketing South Africa is still a challenger brand in comparison to the competition.
- As a Brand and PR Manager, ideally you will possess the following:

- Marketing Management / Public relations / Communications qualification
- Experience in Marketing management, Brand Management, Copywriting and Proofing, ATL and BTL marketing, working with / managing ad agencies.
- English is the working language
- Must be a confident communicator and presenter and manage and motivate direct report/s
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must possess excellent organizational and planning skills
- Have a full understanding of media needs and media relationships, crisis comms and best practices
- Be proactive, reliable, responsible and accurate with an attention to detail
- Possess the ability to keep information confidential
- Tactical understanding of all primary social media platforms. Ability to work in a fast-moving environments. A wide degree of creativity and latitude. Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to management
