**The EDM (Enterprise Data Management) Data Analyst is responsible for the management, analysis, and reporting of data within the enterprise data management system. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage large datasets to support business decision-making. The EDM Data Analyst will work closely with various departments to ensure data integrity, develop data solutions, and drive continuous improvement in data processes.

**Roles and responsibilities**:

- Collect, clean, and validate large datasets from various sources to ensure data integrity and consistency.
- Develop and maintain data management processes and documentation to ensure data quality and accessibility.
- Monitor data quality and perform data cleansing activities as needed.
- Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions.
- Utilize statistical tools and techniques to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
- Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate data findings to stakeholders.
- Generate regular and ad-hoc reports for various business units, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define reporting requirements and deliver insights that support business objectives.
- Present data findings and recommendations to management and other key stakeholders.
- Work closely with IT, business analysts, and other departments to ensure data alignment and integration.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to support data-driven projects and initiatives.
- Provide training and support to users on data management and reporting tools.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in data management and analysis.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in data analytics and management technologies.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of data governance policies and procedures.

**Experience and qualifications**:

- Matric
- Bachelor's degree in data science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis, data management, or a related field.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Proficiency in SQL and data manipulation languages.
- Familiarity with data governance and data quality principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., R, Python) is a plus.
- Knowledge of cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is advantageous.
