**The EDM (Enterprise Data Management) Data Analyst is responsible for the management, analysis, and reporting of data within the enterprise data management system. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage large datasets to support business decision-making. The EDM Data Analyst will work closely with various departments to ensure data integrity, develop data solutions, and drive continuous improvement in data processes.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Collect, clean, and validate large datasets from various sources to ensure data integrity and consistency.
  • Develop and maintain data management processes and documentation to ensure data quality and accessibility.
  • Monitor data quality and perform data cleansing activities as needed.
  • Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions.
  • Utilize statistical tools and techniques to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
  • Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate data findings to stakeholders.
  • Generate regular and adhoc reports for various business units, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define reporting requirements and deliver insights that support business objectives.
  • Present data findings and recommendations to management and other key stakeholders.
  • Work closely with IT, business analysts, and other departments to ensure data alignment and integration.
  • Participate in crossfunctional teams to support datadriven projects and initiatives.
  • Provide training and support to users on data management and reporting tools.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in data management and analysis.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in data analytics and management technologies.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of data governance policies and procedures.

Experience and qualifications:

  • Matric
  • Bachelor's degree in data science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis, data management, or a related field.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data manipulation languages.
  • Familiarity with data governance and data quality principles.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., R, Python) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is advantageous.
