**Job Advert Summary**:
**PURPOSE**:

- Execute audits and consulting engagements in accordance with the audit plan and report to senior internal auditor, should there be any risk to the audit plan or debottlenecking required.
- Evaluating the effectiveness of risk management strategies and practices.
- Ensuring the organization complies with external laws and regulations as well as internal policies and procedures.
- Examining financial records for accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Assessing the efficiency and effectiveness of operational (auditing) processes.
- Preparing detailed reports on audit findings and making recommendations for improvement for review by the senior internal auditor.
- Maintain independence and objectivity in the auditing process, ensuring that audits are conducted without bias and in a manner that upholds the highest standards of integrity.
- Execute Internal Audit policies and procedures.
- Keep abreast of constantly evolving practices, technologies, and relevant changes in South African and global mining and renewable energy regulations and industry standards to proactively address compliance requirements and potential impacts on the company's operations.

- B Degree (Relevant) (Essential/Minimum)

**EXPERIENCE**:
**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Institute of Internal Auditors (Recommended/Desirable or)
- Certificate of Fitness (Essential/Minimum)
- SA Institute for Chartered Accountants (Recommended/Desirable or)
- Member of Professional Body (Recommended/Desirable)
- Psychometric Assessment (Essential/Minimum)

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
**Ad hoc Audits**
- Conduct specific ad-hoc audit requests as and when required.
- Monitor and track the status of action plans to address audit recommendations.

**Audit Execution**
- Execute audits according to Audit plan.
- Deliver assigned audits to a high quality and in line with KPIs as per the methodology.
- Prepare the audit report, to a high-quality standard.
- Follow up with managers regarding actions.
- Escalate key risks and finding to the senior internal audit manager.
- Collect supporting evidence to the audit findings and report.
- Evaluating and reporting on the effectiveness and efficiency of the implementation of management policies.
- Reviews the implementation of recommendations and ensures that findings are remediated, and they bring the required improvements planned.

**Audit Planning**
- Populate lessons learnt from the previous audit cycle.
- Ensure that one understands the audit performance matrix (KPIs)

**Innovation and Data Management**
- Share continuous improvement techniques with Senior Auditor to improve internal audit function
- Research and keep abreast of developments in audit methodologies, processes, and tools.

**Leadership and Teamwork**
- Adopt a continuous improvement mindset of all internal audit and assurance operations to ensure that Audits are conducted effectively, and yield benefit at the right level.
- Support the Senior Internal Auditor in creating a healthy work environment, where all individuals perform at a high level
- Support the internal audit team, promoting synergy and teamwork

**Reporting**
- Prepare the audit report for audit
- Highlight high risk issues to the Senior Internal Auditor
- Follow up on audit findings and support BU line, in executing remedial actions
- Keep track and report on whether remedial actions are being done on time.
- Provide quality feedback and reports to the Senior Internal Auditor
