**Role Description**

The role of the Chief Executive is to provide leadership and direction and responsibility for overseeing the Heads of Investment Banking, Advisory, Securities Trading.

**Role Purpose**
- Responsible and accountable for revenue growth and profitability, business transformation and development.
- Client and employee satisfaction.
- Lead the go to market strategy in South Africa and SADC, will be responsible for overseeing the Heads of Investment Banking, Advisory, Securities Trading.
- Development and implementation of the strategic and delivery plans for the Group.
- To lead and direct to successfully achieve mission, values, strategic aims and objectives.
- To ensure the Board receives advice, recommendations, and information in an effective, thorough and timely manner.
- To develop communication and relationship building processes with the sector providers, stakeholders and sponsors that ensure they have full confidence in the work of the Group.
- To co-ordinate and motivate the team and manage the resources effectively and efficiently.

- Shape and influence a positive staff culture and communicate ownership of policies and decisions across the Group.
- Oversee and implement recruitment, selection, training, development, and performance management of staff.
- Maximise the efficient utilisation of our resources.
- Monitor the effectiveness of our work in making a difference and implement change in response to feedback and data.
- Ensure that the relevant Executives and staff are kept well-informed of key developments.
- Carry out all roles and responsibilities required.

**Financial**
- Produce regular financial reports and forecasts and manage budget.
- Ensure full and accurate reporting including the preparation of an annual report and financial statements.

**Communications**
- Oversee brand consistency across Group, ensuring it reflects our values.
- Develop and implement an integrated campaigns and media strategy
- Manage the development and maintenance of effective channels of marketing and communication with all stakeholders and ensure effective internal communications
- Comply with Company policies and procedures particularly the health and safety,

safeguarding and equality policy and procedures.
- Promote a positive image of Equiserve Group internally and in the community.
- Use IT where appropriate and develop IT skills
- To build the Company to full operational status in accordance with the delivery plan and ensure it has the necessary resources to operate effectively.
- To provide leadership to the senior team, and review and appraise the work of staff reporting directly to the postholder.
- To develop sector engagement processes.
- To focus on all aspects associated with professionalism, including defining workforce qualifications and standards, continuous professional development, research into teaching and learning, sharing best practice and leadership and management
- To develop effective working relationships with the Group’s key partners, stakeholders and sponsors to produce tangible benefits for all providers and their learners
- To build productive working partnerships with Clients.
- To provide effective and enhanced financial strategy and implementation in order to ensure the future financial viability of the Group.

**Qualifications**
- B. Com Honors Degree (Completed),
- studying or completed a master’s business degree with a reputable university.
- Minimum 10 years advisory, asset management and or securities experience.
- Education to degree level or equivalent

**Experience**
- Able to demonstrate strategic leadership of, or a significant strategic contribution to, a business or organisation.
- Able to demonstrate significant organisational change management at both strategic and operational levels.
- Experience of building, leading, motivating and developing successful teams
- Able to demonstrate well developed networks within the education, training and skills environment and / or across Government or the wider public sector.
- Extensive experience of evidence based strategic policy development.
- Able to effectively represent an organisation publicly to the media.
- Experience of embedding the principles of equality of opportunity, diversity and inclusiveness within the policies and practices of an organisation
- Sound strategic planning and a track record of achieving targets.
- Successful financial planning and budget management.
- Experience of developing strong external public relationships promoting and representing an organisation.
- Proven record of leading teams or organizations
