The Tax Department is seeking to employ a highly competent, hardworking and energized individual, based at Clicks Head Office in Cape Town, reporting to the Group Tax Manager.

**Job description**:
**JOB PURPOSE**
- To assist the Group Tax Manager in managing the tax function
- **JOB OBJECTIVES**
- Review of monthly EMP201 submission for local and foreign companies.
- Review of monthly VAT201 submission for local and foreign companies.
- Ensure that company policies are in line with current employee tax and VAT legislation.
- Address all employee’s tax related queries with the applicable revenue authority (local and foreign) as well as queries raised by divisions within the Group.
- Assist Group Tax Manager in responding to enquiries raised by SARS on Income Tax matters.
- Preparation of schedules in support of the income tax returns for all companies within the Group.
- Preparation and updating of Country-by-Country Reporting and ad-hoc Transfer Pricing requirements.
- Assist with tax related matters on various projects.
- Research legal tax principles relating to specific matters.

**Minimum requirements**:
**JOB RELATED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**
- Employee’s Tax, VAT, Income Tax & Transfer Pricing experience in a large corporate environment.
- Strong technical financial background backed up with good experience.
- Resilient and able to work under pressure to achieve tight deadlines.
- Ability to work with large amounts of data.
- Ability to resolve conflicts with SARS through continuous engagement.
- Research legal principles of Tax and report to management on compliance.
- SAP working experience advantageous.
- High level of computer literacy and knowledge of Windows based programmes such as Excel, Word, etc.
- Attention to fine detail.

**EDUCATION**
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with postgraduate studies in taxation ((CA(SA) advantageous)).
