IT Technician

**We are recruiting for a highly motivated IT Technician.**

**Position overview**:We are seeking an enthusiastic IT Technician to join our team to ensure the smooth operation of the school's technical infrastructure.

**Responsibilities**:You will be responsible for providing technical support to the school community, including students, faculty, and staff, as well as assisting with ancillary support services and school events, such as parent's evenings, concerts, sports days, etc.
- Ensure that all technical issues are resolved properly and within in a timely manner
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues with school devices
- Escalate technical issues to appropriate parties if unable to resolve them independently
- Respond to technical queries from staff and students in a timely and professional manner
- Support the maintenance and repair of school facilities and equipment
- Assist with logistics for school events and activities
- Collaborate with other departments and staff to ensure effective and efficient ancillary support services
- Provide training and support to staff and students on the use of school devices and software
- Maintain accurate records of technical support requests and resolutions
- Keep accurate records of inventory and supplies related to technical and ancillary support
- Ensure that all inventory and supplies are accounted for and properly stored
- Ensure that all workspaces are clean and free of hazards
- Manage and supervise services within the Ancillary Department and provide high levels of customer service

**Requirements**:

- +3 years experience in IT or a related field
- Vast knowledge regarding IT and technical equipment
- Matric Certificate (NSC)
- Must be fluent in English (both spoken and written)
- **This is a junior to mid-level position.**

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Centurion, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- High School (matric) (required)

**Experience**:

- IT: 3 years (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)
