Retail General Assistant

CHAIN HARDWARE DISTRIBUTORS T/AS BRIGHTS HOME & HARDWARE

**Responsibilities**:
¨ Loading customers vehicles, delivery trucks and offloading trucks promptly and accurately

¨ Ensuring that stock is properly stacked and counted

¨ Manage to complete tasks given successfully and unassisted.

¨ Check stock arriving/dispatched.

¨ Fills customers order and load materials on car/ truck

¨ Load and unload stock/materials in Yard and stack materials in dedicated areas

¨ Keep Yard walkways/passage areas clear of dust and any other residue

¨ Reporting stock shortages

¨ Reporting stock breakages

¨ Up keeping of tidiness and cleaning of area by sweeping and upholding good housekeeping

¨ Be approachable to customers.

¨ Manage to work unsupervised.

**Requirements for this Position**:
¨ MUST have a minimum Grade 12 (Matric) - essential (ATTACH A COPY)

¨ Have 2+ years’ experience in a Hardware or Warehouse environment where heavy lifting is required

¨ Exposure to stock counting.

¨ Interacted with customers and passionate about customer excellence service

¨ Ability to understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences and able to communicate clearly & effectively (read and write) with all customers / suppliers

¨ Able to work independently and as a team player

¨ Be disciplined, motivated and listen to instructions well

¨ Ability to take instructions and handle pressure
