Company Description
- The Control Systems Technician carries the necessary authority and responsibility to maintain and optimize network infrastructure, support software and hardware systems to meet control solution performance requirements. The Control Systems Technician will review the stability of the control solution using the tools provided and recommend corrective action to the operational management. The resultant remedial action must be implemented and commissioned in line with Anglo Platinum standards.

**Job Description**:

- You will be responsible for:

- Review the process performance reports
- Implement corrective action for areas of instability
- Analyze and identify problems on the current systems and infrastructure
- System trouble shooting and software and hardware problems resolution
- Support on existing networks, hardware and software
- Implementation of modifications to the control solution
- Adherence to the Anglo Platinum Change Procedure
- Execution and testing of scheduled backups on all control systems
- Adherence to Anglo Platinum Standards
- Training and development of end users
- Schedule and priorities maintenance tasks

**This role reports to the Control Systems Analyst.**

**Qualifications
- You must have**:

- National Technical Diploma in Computer Science (Majoring in Software Development) or relevant NQF level 4 equivalent

**Experience required**:

- 2 years relevant work experience in software development.
- Experience in Process Control Systems will be advantageous
- Advanced computer literacy and IT skills

**Additional Information

- VBA

- Excel (advanced)
- Troubleshooting
- HTML, and XML will be advantageous
- FactoryTalk View will be advantageous
- OPC DA and UA will be advantageous
- OSI Pi with AF will be advantageous
- English literate
- Good decision-making skills
- Valid driving license
- Medical fitness assessment test
