**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Diploma or National Certificate in Electrical Engineering light current, majoring in Instrumentation and Process Control
- At least 2 years’ experience as an Instrumentation Technician. Preferably mining services and Mineral processing or
- At least 2 years as an Instrumentation Mechanician before obtaining a Diploma in Instrumentation.
- PGM plant experience will be an advantage.
- Good Working Knowledge of Allan Bradley and Siemens PLC, Wonderware Archestra HMI systems
- Skills in the development of ADROIT and Win CC SCADA management systems.
- Good Working Knowledge of Field Network systems (Profibus, Device-Net, ASSI bus, and Ethernet networks systems)
- Knowledge of Profibus, Profinet, CAN bus, and Ethernet communication protocols.
- Good working knowledge of Virtual computer systems
- Densitometer and process automation scales
- Fibre optic splicing
- Wi-Fi networks
- Camera networks
- Advanced computer literacy.
- English literate.
- Good decision-making skills.
- Valid driving license.
- Be declared medically fit for the position and environment
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY**
- Safety Health and Environment (SHE) Inters of the MHSA section 2.9.3 responsible for evaluating high-risk and safety-critical areas before execution of work, adhering to safety and legal standards, and the maintenance of all regulated instrumentation.
- Ensure all instrumentation and process control systems integrity through:
- Maintenance of existing instrumentation, Network, Hardware and Software
- Setup, calibration and maintenance of all control and measurement systems
- Disseminate best practice in instrumentation aspects
- Prepare and maintain control system related documentation.
- Implement control & Monitoring algorithms trough the configuration of PLC and HMI systems
- Assist with the Commissioning of onsite projects.
- Do standby duties
- Working underground where applicable for the position
- Business improvement: Proactively analyses and identifies poor performance related to the C & I process, control, and measurement systems in area of responsibility.
- Develop, prepare, and maintain C& I relevant documentation and completion of maintenance job cards.
- Participate in failure analysis and provide feedback to management through report or verbal means.
- ESG: Responsible for the implementation and upkeep of work area related strategic initiatives pertaining to control and instrumentation
Pay: From R35 000,00 per month
