To assist with and co-ordinate supervision and training of all basic learners / permanent staff
To facilitate and assist Unit Managers with teaching
To assist with quality assurance and maintenance of nursing standards
- To assist and support the hospital with internal and external audits by professional bodies e.g. SANC, DOH, OHSC, ISO, TSSA
To facilitate a continuous in-service training program in the units
To assist with the formulation and implementation of policies and procedures
To place and rotate learners in the various disciplines to gain clinical competence as required by their program
- To liaise with unit managers / management regarding learner placement without causing a negative impact on the functioning of the various units
To assist with KRONOS management of student hours and time keeping
To create and maintain a therapeutic learning milieu
**REQUIREMENTS**:
Registered as a Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council.
Compliance with the SANC code for a Registered Nurse and all applicable health care legislation
Nursing Education Qualification
Basic Life Support advantageous
Midwifery diploma advantageous.
ICU Trained Work experience
Clinical Facilitator experience in hospital environment
Assessor and/or Moderators experience would be advantageous
