Our client is looking for a Stores Controller to join their team.

With the purpose to ensure that stock is held correctly, safely whilst accurately maintaining strict controls over all stocking items whilst maintaining housekeeping standards defined by supply chain.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Control Costs
- Maintain strict and accurate control on the movement of spares through the workflow of goods from receipt to issue ensuring stock losses and gains are mitigated

2. Stock processing
- Ensure that all goods (material, parts and equipment) are received into stores and on time same day.
- Ensure that all requests for stock are accurately picked, packed and provided to the requestor in the correct type and quantity and quality.
- Ensure that all goods received into the stores are packed correctly into their allocated binning locations
- Maintain the necessary measures to prevent goods being received or issued without the necessary paperwork and in line with UA’s policies and procedures.
- Maintain strict, effective, safe storage standards storage areas at all times ensuring housekeeping is maintained daily.
- Maintain strict and accurate control on the movement of spares and equipment to and from stores where sites have multiple stores.
- Coordinate loading and unloading of vehicles with a forklift and must have a forklift licence.

3. Support collaborative planning with supply base
- Liaise with workshop and ensure all stores and receiving employees are aware of all machines planned maintenance.
- Co-ordination and time allocation of all store’s tasks
- Co-ordinate and ensure accurate and speedy picking and delivery of assembly parts and components to the workshop.
- Ensure main stores and receiving employees are aware of all emergency requirements of specific breakdowns
- Prioritise and allow speedy movement of breakdown related spares in and out of Stores and to the Site.
- Monitor minimum stock levels in and report critical levels to reporting line procurement manager and workshop manager

4. Stock Control
- Plan, monitor and supervise all regular weekly cycle counts.
- Ensure physical stock on shelves correspond to stock on computer system.
- Actively take part and assist with all major scheduled stock takes.

**Qualification**
- Grade 12 + diploma/certificate in warehouse management
- Forklift Licence
- 3 years working experience in on-the-floor stores keeping and supervision

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: R300,000.00 - R360,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:
