Electrician

**Job Advert Summary**:
An exciting opportunity has become available for an Electrician to join our** Animal Feed Division**. The role will be based in **Worcester **and report to the **Maintenance Manager**. Epol is looking for an incumbent to be responsible for ensuring that maintenance is done effectively and accurately in such a way as to ensure minimum downtime.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Relevant Trade Test.
- Minimum of 3 years post Trade test experience.
- Knowledge of PLC's, Sensors, VLT's etc.
- Refrigeration and HT Experience would be advantageous.
- Be prepared to work overtime (including weekend overtime) with standby responsibilities.
- Clear Criminal record.
- Good problem solving ability with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Basic knowledge and undersanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and safety requirements.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Implements Operational asset productivity and care through the planned maintenace strategy.
- Fault finds on various electrical equipment to acertain the problem.
- Conduct planned maintenance as per job card schedule and signs off once job has been completed.
- Attends to electrical breakdowns timeously which reduces production downtime.
- Determines if electrical faults are PLC related and assists with PLC programming to correct faults.
- Guide, train and coordinate the functions of the artisan assistant.
- Performs duties in line with the HACCP and Safety Requirements.
- To ensure efficient and cost-effective maintenance to all electrical equipment, MCC's substations and DB's.
- To be pro-active in identifying potential faults/ breakdowns before they occur and ensure that they are kept to a minimum as a result of plant inspection and awareness.
- To perform various projects of an electrical nature to the correct specifications.
- Perform switching for loadshedding as and when it occurs on a rotational basis.
- Assists the engineering maintenance team when teamwork is needed.
