**Main purpose of the job**:

- To provide strategic development, oversight, and overall management of the Private Pharmacies PrEP Project

**Location**:

- **Ezintsha - Cape Town**

**Key performance areas**:

- Communicate, promote and support the implementation of the Private Pharmacies PrEP Project
- Provide direction, program implementation guidance, and support to Site Coordinators to ensure delivery of the project components according to timelines and budgets
- Conduct regular meetings with site teams to ensure outputs are delivered and to review progress on the implementation of the strategic plan
- Perform regular management audits of project sites to identify good practices and identify and address gaps
- Implement appropriate program management processes to ensure delivery of project components according to timelines and budgets with a specific focus on aspects of sustainability such as the phasing out of certain roles as the program matures
- Develop/review implementation plans, work plans, and other strategic program documents for effective implementation of the project
- Identify the needs of the program and obtain the resources required
- Develop program tools such as SOPs and technical guidelines
- Coordinate and troubleshoot all program-related activities
- Review and monitor program budgets; identify areas of underspend and overspending risks
- Support and monitor staff scale-up related to demand creation, linkage to care, and other services
- Support administrative processes related to recruitment and retention
- Lead or coordinate the implementation of additional projects or requests for information
- Report monthly on key achievements, challenges, and any anecdotal success stories
- Coordinate the Ezintsha teams, ensuring that communication between the teams is optimal and that program activities are coordinated and leveraged
- Ensure coordination across the program
- Maintain close communication with the M&E team to ensure adequate and regular reporting and documenting of lessons learned and success stories
- Develop and effectively manage relationships with relevant Ezintsha structures
- Develop and effectively manage relationships with external stakeholders including pharmacies, DoH, donors, and partners
- Serve as a senior representative of the project on external forums/working groups in Gauteng and Cape Town Provinces
- Supervise and manage line reports in keeping with Ezintsha policies and procedures
- Attend to all staffing requirements and administration
- Supervise and manage the duties of subordinates to ensure optimal staff utilization and maintenance of sound labor relations
- Perform and facilitate performance assessments
- Identify substandard performance by team members and take necessary corrective action
- Coach and train subordinates and team members to ensure the acquisition of knowledge and skills required by the organization
- Promote harmony, teamwork, and sharing of information
- Provide day-to-day support to all project staff
- Take ownership and accountability for tasks and demonstrates effective self-management
- Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of own work are consistently and accurately maintained
- Maintain a positive attitude and respond openly to feedback
- Take ownership of driving your own career development by participating in ongoing training and development activities such as forums, conferences, policy-setting workshops, etc.

**Required minimum education and training**:

- **Degree in Public Health, Development Studies, Social Science, or related fields**:

- **At least 5-10 years of experience working in HIV/AIDS and Sexual & Reproductive Health with a focus on PrEP, AGYW, and men's programs**:

- **Experience in working with NDOH and pharmacies**:

- **Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of PrEP and SRH**:

- **Experience with donor-funded projects will be an added advantage**:

- **Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, including report writing**:

- **Able and willing to work flexible hours as needed and without constant or close supervision**:

- **Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills**:

- **A drivers license**

**Required minimum work experience**:

- **Demonstrated role in strengthening coordination and project management**:

- **Understanding of the school environment and experience in working with government departments in a TA or advisory capacity**:

- **Experience in coordination of prevention activities**:

- **Ability to provide oversight of PrEP implementation**:
