**Key Performance Area**:

- Responsible for the direct and/or indirect nursing care of patient or group of patients.
- Participate in ward/units quality improvement programmes.
- Promote good public relations with patients, relatives and visitors.
- Provide and supervise the delivery of evidence based nursing care.
- Ensure all patients have an appropriate nursing care plan.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Registered with SANC as a Registered Nurse.
- Qualification as a Registered Nurse.
- 12 months post basic qualification in Critical Care (essential)
- Experience of at least 2 years in ICU (trained).
