**YOUR JOB WILL BE TO**:
Responsible for project coordination and management through:
**Responsibilities**:

- Supervise retrospective clinical record reviews of COVID-19 patients admitted to hospitals in Gauteng
- Assess medical records to determine eligibility for study inclusion according to protocol requirements
- Provide clinical oversight and review medical information and other study-related results
- Ensure that data collection is done according to the protocol
- Conduct quality control procedures
- Supervise and manage a team of nurses and research assistants who will be collecting data
- Ensure that data is collected accurately, comprehensively, timeously and according to GCP standards
- Respond timeously and accurately in keeping with GCP to data queries
- Process and store study documents with strict adherence to documentation handling procedures.
- Comply with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Protocol requirements, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Verify the accuracy of data in source documentation and accuracy of transcription from source data Case Report Forms (CRF) as needed
- Ensure errors are corrected, initialled, and dated
- Ensure completion of corrective action of internal and external QC reports and monitoring reviews
- Assist with staff training (and retraining) where error trends are identified
- Proactively resolve protocol queries and missing data with the Research Team

**YOU SHOULD HAVE**:
**Qualification/Professional Membership**:

- Bachelor’s degree in medicine - MBCHB
- Registered Medical Practitioner with the HPCSA
- GCP Certification
- Valid driver’s licence and own car

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in clinical research will be an advantage

**Attributes**:

- Well-developed problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to meet objectives against tight deadlines
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Word processing, spreadsheet and database skills
