JOB DESCRIPTION / REQUIREMENTS

Grade 12.

Formal accounting qualification.

1 - 3 years’ experience with Xero or a cloud-based accounting platform.

Daily/monthly processing of financial source documents into an accounting system.

Daily/monthly reconciliation of sales and receipts.

Maintaining personal mailbox and department mailbox.

Liaising with clients and their administration staff.

Processing predefined daily/monthly journals; supplier invoices into an accounting system; bank statements into an accounting system.

Reconciling bank accounts; control accounts; debtors; creditors.

Compiling VAT computations; sales VAT reconciliations; management accounts; cash flow projections; net present value computations; valuations and post valuation impact assessments.

Reviewing work produced by junior staff within the department.

Analysing and presenting management accounts.

Supervising junior staff within the department and assisting them with queries.

Onboarding of new clients.

Marketing calls with prospective clients.

Training of new staff.

Liaising with staff from other departments within the company to achieve deliverables.
