**PURPOSE**
The purpose of the Cashbook Clerk is to capture the cashbook and customer payments accurately into the accounting system.
**KEY OBJECTIVES**
CAPTURING CASHBOOK
- Responsible for capturing accounts payable to debtors & creditors into accounts system and allocate receipts and payments.
- Accountable for capturing EMP201 payments of employee tax received from payroll, employee benefits payment, and payment journals.
- Responsible for importing debt ageing into cashbook and allocate payments and collections to respective debtors and creditors.
- Accountable for preparing reconciliations accounts; making corrections on cash receipts, if required, and downloading and uploading bank statements
CUSTOMER MANAGEMENT
- Responsible for investigating and resolve unknown or unallocated payments by customers and allocate to the correct account and following up and resolving customer account queries.
FILING OF DOCUMENTS
Responsible for filing invoices and receipts as per company specifications, scanning & saving documents on share drive
**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
**Qualifications**
NQF 5 Certificate in bookkeeping / finance / accounting
**Knowledge**
Cashbook process
Filing and basic office administration
**Experience**
Cashbook clerk 1 to 2 years
**Skills**
Finance ERP - MS D365 is desirable
English comprehension
