**PURPOSE OF THE JOB**
**To identify and provide relevant Human Resource interventions which will assist the organisation to attain its objectives**
**Requirements**:
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE**
- Relevant B Degree or National Diploma
- 6 years relevant experience
- 2 years managerial experience
- Excellent knowledge and experience regarding productivity improvement, succession planning, talent management and training and development.
- Hands on experience regarding basic human resource functions such as recruiting, labour planning and costing, remuneration and employee benefits.
- Knowledge of SAP Systems & MS Office will be advantageous

- Identify and assess level of issue-based risk exposures in area of responsibility by considering exposures to business, financial, legal issues, people, equipment, material, environment, processes, etc.
- Manage SHEQ compliance within the Section through effective use of the Toolbox.
- Utilise the Information Management System (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ status.

- Ensure an enabling climate/culture
- Manage labour stability by minimising labour turnover
- Labour complement in line with budget

- Conduct career discussions and implement actions with all identified talent (quarterly)
- Ensure discipline is maintained (absenteeism, lateness, overtime, misconduct, etc.)
- Coach and counsel people to ensure improved performance levels.
- Conduct recruitment interviews.

**Recruitment and Selection**:
- Manage the recruitment process in line with the Recruitment Procedure
- Provide Samancor Ferrometals/ Elkem Ferroveld with benchmarked recruitment processes and procedure documentation
**IR**:
- Manage and represent Samancor on all IR issues
- Manage the Industrial Relations Climate
- Manage the Disciplinary/Grievance Process
- Provide Samancor Ferrometals/ Elkem Ferroveld with benchmarked IR policies, processes and procedure documentation
- Co-ordinate development of IR Learning Materials and present training courses
- Liaise with External Arbitrators during disputes
**HR General**:
- Implement the HR Resource Library
- Manage subordinates, including training and development of the HR team.
- Compile and control the budget.
- Drive achievement of HR Key Performance Indicators and implementation of HR Strategies
- Report on KPIs and strategy implementation
**Talent Management**:
- Design, implement and maintain talent management initiatives.
**Time Management**:
- Implement the system to assist line in managing attendance and absenteeism in line with KPIs.
**Job Management**:
- Ensure that all positions are graded and have a valid job profile.
**Remuneration**:
- Manage remuneration in line with remuneration principles.
- Provide Samancor Ferrometals/ Elkem Ferroveld with benchmarked remuneration processes and procedure documentation.
**Manpower**:
- Ensure adherence to manpower budget.
- Manage maintenance of departmental and company organograms
- Implement Succession Planning initiatives.
- Implement initiatives to reduce Labour turnover.
