**Description**:
**DC Stock Controller FMCG - Athlone - R18,000-R21,000 CTC**

The position's responsibilities include tracking, inspecting and reporting on stock movement. To be successful in this role, you should be familiar with supply chain procedures and have good communication skills to interact with third-party suppliers and internal teams.

**Requirements**:
Matric
Any Warehousing / Stock Course would be an advantage.
Knowledge of SYSPRO and WMS/Translation would be an advantage
MS Office experience especially Excel
Must be able to learn new computer packages quickly
Must have excellent communication skills, written and verbal
High attention to detail.
High energy and positive attitude.
Good work ethics.
Mature, with good problem-solving skills.
Uses own initiative.

**Responsibilities**:
Attend to stock-takes in all warehouses from start to finish. Stock takes generally held on a Thursday evening extending into Friday morning.
Independently verify that accounting records accurately represent the physical stock on the floor.
Assess quality and condition of stock.
Perform planning and analytical procedures prior to the count to identify areas of risk and potential stock write-offs.
Perform analysis and comparisons from previous stock takes, taking into account stock losses from cycle counts and stock adjustments.
Ensuring that stock valuation is accurate.
Perform testing at the stock-take ensuring that the stock-take procedures are followed.
Perform and document sample counts during the month and ensure that it agrees to the system quantities.
Ensure old, obsolete and redundant stock is scraped in accordance with company policy
Report on the damaged and usable units and ensure further action is taken in terms of the standard operating procedures
Physical and systematic monitoring of faulty stock returns
