**Job Purpose**

- **Solutions / Value Propositions (Industry, Business, Composite)** that is financially rewarding for both clients and the bank.**Responsibilities**:
**Internal Stakeholders (Segment, CVM, Channel, Solution Innovation (SI), GT, CIB)**:

- Provide strategic advice and share knowledge on best practices and potential solutions to influence the shaping of the greater SI and RBB strategy.
- Develop strategic, credible, trusted relationships with internal stakeholders by working with relevant divisions (Segment, CVM, Channel, Rest of SI, GT, CIB) to agree high priority initiatives, position solutions / value creation models and drive implementation.
- Ensure effective communication and relationship networks by working in a cross functional matrix structure across segment and SI.
- Ongoing engagement and relationship management with Segments (BB, RRB, CB, CIB) to understand segment requirements, obtain input on solution design, priority, and report back on progress, risks, and issues.

**External Stakeholders (Clients, Vendors, Partners)**:

- Ensure that client needs are met as their strategies evolve by working with Segment to ensure lifetime value of clients are maximised
- Ensure clients are satisfied with Nedbank's products and services and see Nedbank as their growth partner throughout their business's lifecycle, by ensuring expectations are met by providing high quality, comprehensive, holistic solutions to clients
- Ongoing engagement and proactive communication with clients, vendors, and partners throughout the engineering lifecycle and in line with Nedbank Procurement Policies.

**Execute, Manage and Evolve the Solution Engineering Practice**:

- Identify opportunities through Client Opportunity Workshops (COWs), needs analysis and market research. Define business models for all opportunities
- Assess market size and room for scale of all opportunities (including analysis of existing competing and adjacent solutions, risks involved)
- Capability mapping of partner and service provider ecosystem
- Design and test essential aspects of the solution through a number of low-fidelity prototypes
- Validate product/market fit (i.e., solution is scalable) and confirm that clients and Nedbank can create value from the solution
- Test that the integrated solution is feasible (can be produced by Nedbank and/or external partners) through a high-fidelity prototype and confirm the ability to operationalise the solutions
- Identify and validate relevant metrics that ensure the operational solution delivers expected value and performance

**Knowledge Sharing**
- Oversee development, growth, and maintenance of knowledge bases in the team through mentoring junior level Innovation Managers in the team

**Reporting and Planning**
- Oversee development and maintenance of dashboards for tracking actual solution performance against targets (monthly and year to date)
- Ensure regular reporting by supervising the preparation of monthly Operational Committee (OPCOM) and Business Review packs (which include insights, analytics, and performance to date)

**Internal Policy and Process Requirements**
- Manage risk and compliance requirements by taking ownership that all risk and compliance issues (e.g., POPIA) are adhered to.
- Ensure adherence to Vendor Onboarding / Procurement processes
- Meet the requirements of the New Product Approval Process (NPAP), Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) etc.
- Preferred Qualification- B-related degree in Engineering, Strategy, or Innovation related field
- MBA, MSc, or MEng would be an advantage
- Minimum Experience Level- 10 years’ experience in the Financial Sector / Client Service industry within a Sales, Product, Innovation or Strategy related role.
- 5 - 7 years’ experience as Business Analyst, Consultant or Process Engineer would be an advantage
