**Roles and responsibilities**:
As a senior lecturer for the postgraduate diploma in innovation at AFDA, you will:
**Lead teaching**:
Conduct teaching in areas such as creative innovation, entrepreneurship (finance, marketing), 21st century, design thinking, and research studies.
Train and supervise students, act as a mentor, tutor, and examiner.
Oversee project workshops.
Ensure a high-quality student experience through effective communication and pastoral care.
Use various pedagogical approaches and assessment instruments.

**Administrative responsibilities**:
Manage administrative tasks at the department or school level.
Communicate assignments, assessments, deadlines, and ensure students stay on track.
Ensure facilities, equipment, and resources are available for teaching.
Manage student records, marking, and submission of marks for moderation.

**Other duties**:
Manage deadlines for students.
Attend meetings, report on class attendance and progress, and plan sessions with the department.
Participate in marketing activities and events.
Assist in student inquiries and academic support.
Contribute to quality assurance and quality enhancement practices.
Collaborate with counterparts to ensure consistency across campuses.

**Selection criteria**:
Master’s in business management or relevant NQF level 9 qualification in business innovation and entrepreneurship.
Knowledge and experience in business innovation and entrepreneurship.
Academic management experience.
Experience in assessing undergraduate students and marking scripts.
Ability to conduct tutorial sessions and assess project presentations.

Experience in academic management and assessing undergraduate students.
Master’s degree in business innovation.
Alumni of AFDA.
Established work experience in tertiary education.
Knowledge of the entrepreneurial and creative environment.
