**Southern Oil Pty Ltd, an established company and market leader in the manufacturing of Canola oil and related products in the retail, food services and bulk sectors, has the following exciting career opportunity in Roodekop.**

**Short Summary**:
The primary responsibility of this position is to blend, load and offload raw materials and products safely and hygienically to ensure feed safety and quality standards are met.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Legal Requirements**
- Follow the SOILL code of conduct, driver and vehicle, cell phone and tyre policies.
- Drive according to all legal requirements.
- Ensure that the vehicle is always secured with chock blocks.
- Be in possession of a valid driver’s licence and PDP.
- Complete driver medicals as required.
- **Roadworthiness and Cleanliness**
- Ensure that company vehicles are clean at all times.
- Report all incidents that affect tanker cleanliness immediately.
- Report any faults resulting in spills or damage to vehicles or third-party property.
- Complete a daily record of the vehicle's physical, electrical and mechanical condition.
- Complete a daily tyre, spill kit and fire extinguisher check.
- **Business Function**
- Deliver or collect items related to the business function as instructed.
- Deliver or collect all items as may be required by Management.
- Ensure all delivery and collection documentation are completed correctly.
- Complete any non-driver-related job which management deems to be fair and reasonable.
- Ensure the vehicle is weighed as per the SOP.
- Keep a log of all trips, customers/ suppliers and distances.
- Complete trip sheets must be handed to the Logistic Controller by the 13th of every month.
- Company uniforms that are neat and clean must be worn daily and all PPE requirements adhered to.
- Security of vehicle and product entrusted to you.
- Responsible for the diesel/ toll card at all times.
- Report any issues regarding the card immediately.
- Be available after hours and on weekends to do loads as required.
- **Communication**
- Damage to company vehicles or property must be reported immediately.
- Ensure that the Driver’s manual is complete and available in the vehicle at all times.
- Reachable at all times. If a call cannot be taken immediately, it will be returned.
- Report any shortages and returns before leaving the customer/ supplier.
- Report any delays to a customer/ supplier immediately.

**Key Competencies**:
**Education and Skills**
- Minimum of Grade 12 or NQF Level 4
- Valid licence with no endorsements
- Valid Professional Drivers Permit
- 2 years of experience driving a Bulk Tanker
