**Requirements**:

- Matric / Degree/Diploma in supply chain/Logistics
- Valid code 10 driver’s license with a minimum of 2-3 years driving experience
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in the Logistics/Warehousing industry in a leadership role

**Roles & Responsibilities**:

- Conduct daily planning in production i.e, production targets, allocating resources, risk management etc.
- Manage the implementation of all assigned tasks and daily production targets, making sure that they are in line with BMLS policies and procedures.
- Monitor delivery and implement necessary changes in operations.
- Proactively identify and manage issues and resolve them so they do not impact on targets and deadlines.
- Ensure any breakdowns and/or incidents are treated as critical and ensure the issue is resolved timeously.
- Collaborate as part of the management team to share ideas and improve operations, recommending, supporting, and implementing continuous improvement activities and process and procedure to optimize results and improve quality of deliver, in line with quality standards requirements and client deliverables.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders including other departments, senior management, customers and external partners to align operational objectives and address any issues or concerns.
- Ensure a safe working environment for employees and compliance with health and safety regulations by promoting a culture of safety first.
- Implement safety protocols, risk assessments, site declaration, PTO’s and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
- Ensure all systems implemented are used to their full potential and collate reports when required.
- End of shift pictures of all warehouses, stock level per warehouse.
- Report number of trucks and volumes loaded from which warehouse to which vessel, recon with chief and agent, return trucks and trucks that are on breakdown.
- Assist to recruit, train, develop, increase/maintain high morale, and discipline employees to ensure adequate staffing and performing team.
- Participate in performance management, ensuring proper accountability and documentation.
- Assist in the absenteeism of the employees.
- Assist in the issuing of disciplinary warnings and initiation of hearings.
- Develop a culture that promotes positive support for implementation of a SHE policy and related procedures.
