Our client has an opportunity available for a Manager: Governance, Compliance and Ethics based in Centurion.

**Requirements**:

- Degree in law, audit, risk management or similar.
- Postgraduate diploma in compliance management or CISA accredited Compliance Practitioner.
- Meet the requirements of “fit and proper” as prescribed by the Compliance Institute of Southern Africa.
- Accreditation as a Compliance Practitioner with the Compliance Institute of SA.
- 8 years Compliance Management experience.
- Knowledge of enterprise risk management principles.
- Knowledge and experience in compliance systems or tools.
- Compliance Management principles and processes knowledge.
- Knowledge of Compliance related legislation.
- Knowledge and interpretation skills of all applicable legislation to the business of the Bank.
- Ability to communicate on an advanced level.
- Travel and work extended hours as and when required.
- Act as second line support as required in the Enterprise Risk management framework and combined assurance model.

KPAs:

- Develop and oversee the implementation of a consistent integrated compliance framework and compliance programme.
- Examine and keep abreast of all changes in legislation and regulations and advise all stakeholders of the potential impact.
- Provides advice to management and the Board as required in adherence to compliance functions imposed by legislation and governance principles.
- Develop a framework for policies within the bank that is aligned to legislation and best practice corporate governance.
- Communicate, meet and plan with internal audits on a periodic basis.
- Build and maintain effective regulator and stakeholder relationships.
- Coordinate communication channels and liaison with regulators and supervisors.
- Participate and oversee where necessary in regulatory inspections.
- Represent the Unit on governance compliance related matters and various forums.
- Develop the compliance risk identification matrix of the Bank.
- Develop the compliance risk prioritization index for the Bank.
- Develop control optimization and risk management plans for applicable legislation for the Bank.
- Develop compliance risk monitoring plans and reporting tools for the bank.
- Develop a compliance monitoring plan and compliance programme to ensure monitoring of the Banks compliance risk as well as compliance to laws, regulations and supervisory requirements.
- Inspect and oversee the ethics related issues in terms of King IV.
- Submit research and advice on best practices to detect and address unethical behaviour.
- Develop a process to monitor compliance with the complaints and ethics policies and procedures.
- Provide input into the departmental annual budget and allocated cost items.
- Manage budget allocations and motivations for expense within area of responsibility.
- Ensures the maintenance or reduction of costs of all resources without compromising on the delivery of the departmental objectives.
- Analyse the business plan to determine the applicable deliverables and targets.
- Conduct performance reviews in accordance with policies and procedures and take corrective actions where necessary.
- Provide coaching and feedback to employees on how to improve and sustain their performance.
