This role is responsible for managing and overseeing the accounts payable department, ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, reconciling accounts, and managing vendor relationships.

**Responsibilities**
- Manage and supervise the accounts payable team, providing guidance, training, and support as needed
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, and other payables.
- Review and approve vendor invoices and other payables reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement accounts payable policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy of the AP process
- Assist AP processing team to reconcile vendor statements and resolve any Discrepancies
- Work with internal departments and external vendors to resolve any accounts payable issues or discrepancies
- Prepare and maintain accounts payable reports, including aged payables and vendor statements
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and reconciliations
- Assist with the preparation of audit schedules and respond to audit requests related to accounts payable
- Liaise with the treasury department on outstanding payments and planning of funds.
- The accounts payable team is also responsible for processing the entity bank accounts.

**Qualifications and Work Experience**
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable management or a related role
- Proficient in Google Workplace or Microsoft Office and experience with accounting software and ERP systems
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and accounts payable best practices

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: R40,000.00 - R55,000.00 per month
