Provide support to the Head of Reward Governance in the coordination and implementation of Absa Group reward governance activities across the continent.
**Job Description**:
- Support the delivery of the Group Remuneration Committee (RemCo) and Executive Appointments and Remuneration Committee (EARC) meeting cycles (including meeting / agenda coordination, and drafting of submissions).
- Support and/or deliver timely and appropriate day to day advice to Absa Reward teams on all reward governance matters.
- Support the delivery of governance and remuneration management aspects of the annual Pay Review process.
- Support key regulatory relationships regarding remuneration, including the Prudential Authority, and other national regulators.
- Tracking and analysing developments in remuneration regulation globally and assessing the impact on Absa Group (e.g. the King Code, Companies Act, Banks Act and government consultations on executive remuneration).
- Support and/or deliver public remuneration disclosures (e.g. annual Remuneration Report, Annual Financial Statements, Pillar 3 disclosures, and another disclosures that may be requested by the regulator).
- Support the formulation of deliverables with investors and shareholders on remuneration, including preparation for governance roadshows and the Annual General Meeting.
- Support the compilation and review of all policies and standards falling within Reward Governance, including adhering to the relevant internal governance process.
- Supporting all submissions to be made in respect of reward risk and the overall operational risk environment within Reward - this includes attendance at relevant governance forums and presenting where required.
Education
Bachelor's Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (required)
