The Claims Motor Assessing Team Manager leads and assumes full management responsibility for a team of professional Claims Motor Assessing Assessors in the Assessing department.

**Job Description**:

- Moderate assessments completed by the accident assessors or service providers
- Monitor and manage the average repair cost as well as the quality of their own assessments as well as their team
- Recruitment & selection & retention of team members
- Checking and validating of all work carried out within the team.
- Managing team performance in accordance with established minimum standards.
- Upskilling team members through coaching and mentoring
- Performance Management
- Leave Management
- Audits
- Ensuring team members are behaving in line with the company procedures and values and addressing misconduct where applicable
- Change management and effective communication
- Dealing with escalated customer complaints and adhoc queries that are outside of your subordinates mandate
- Reporting & analysis
- Assume full leadership responsibility for a team of professional accident assessors
- General day to day management of team
- Liaise with service providers, clients and advisors
- Conduct all the above to the required performance and quality standards that are in place

**Qualifications**:

- Matric
- Qualified Panel beater, Spray Painter or Motor Mechanic
- 3 years assessing experience
- Own Road worthy Vehicle
- Valid driver’s license
- Leadership, Management and or Insurance related studies completed or in progress will be beneficial

- Enthusiastic in dealing with people in a stressful, deadline orientated environment is essential
