**PURPOSE OF THE POSITION AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

The purpose of this position is to assist policyholders (clients) with legal advice and paralegal solutions to common problems within the parameters set by the Company and the Scorpion Legal Protection Membership Agreement.

**Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following**:
**Consulting with Members**:Attending to clients and providing legal advice and assistance

**Drafting & Attending to Correspondence**:Attending to drafting and responding to correspondence on behalf of clients

**File Management**:Ensuring that all case files are maintained and regularly updated

**Liaison with Attorneys/Claims Dept.**:Attend to obtaining advice and instructions on legal matters

**Providing Feedback to Clients**:Ensuring that clients receive regular updates and feedback

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND GENERAL WORKING CONDITIONS**

**Education**:Must have Matric (Grade 12); and Must have completed legal degree (LLB or B Proc, B Juris, BLC or B Com/BA Law)

**Experience**:At least two (2) years’ legal experience in dealing with Property law disputes

Practice experience with regards to evictions, body corporate and rental disputes

Customer service experience (must).

Experience in drafting legal documentation (must).

**Other: Must be multilingual. **Must be computer literate; specifically proficient in MS Word and Outlook.

**General working conditions**:Regular office environment and no health and safety risks involved. No travel involved.

**PRE-REQUISITE COMPETENCIES**

**Knowledge Competencies **Professional knowledge

**Must have a working knowledge of Motor Vehicle sale agreements, the Consumer Protection Act; contractual law.**

**Must have knowledge on organisations such as the various Ombudsman and the National consumer commission.**

Product knowledge

**Skill Competencies **Analytical thinking ability, Conceptual thinking ability, conveying information, Financial interpretation, Listening skills, Verbal & Written communication**,**

**Salary**: R19,026.00 - R25,878.00 per month
