**BIOVAC** is one of the leading sterile vaccine manufacturers rooted in Africa, with our core purpose being to "protect life". We are looking to hire a dynamic, passionate, confident, proactive and meticulous Production Pharmacist to join a goal-oriented team.

**QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED**:

- Minimum requirements:

- Completed B Pharm Degree.
- Registered as a practising pharmacist with the SAPC.

**NECESSARY EXPERIENCE & INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE**:

- Minimum requirements:

- Relevant experience in a production/manufacturing department.
- Preferred requirements:

- Experience in aseptic processing such as formulation, filling or similar
- Experience working in cleanrooms

**KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE**:

- Production Management: Overseeing and managing pharmaceutical production processes to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and in compliance with GMP standards.
- Quality Control: Monitoring and maintaining the quality of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products during production, conducting in-process testing and final product analysis.
- Documentation: Maintaining accurate and detailed production records, batch documentation, and other required paperwork to demonstrate compliance with GMP regulations.
- Equipment and Facility Oversight: Ensuring production equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and validated, and ensuring the facility meets GMP requirements.
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Implementing and updating SOPs for production processes to ensure consistency and adherence to GMP guidelines.
- Training and Supervision: Providing training to production staff on GMP procedures, safety protocols, and supervising their work to maintain high standards of quality and compliance.
- Deviation and CAPA Management: Investigating and managing deviations and non-conformances during production and implementing corrective and preventive actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Regulatory Compliance: Staying informed about changes in GMP regulations and ensuring the production processes align with these requirements including the pharmaceutical requirements outlined by local legislature.
