**PURPOSE OF THE JOB**:
Member of the ALSTOM UBUNYE Sourcing team, the Sourcing Analyst will focus on the following activities:

- Development and implementation of monitoring and reporting tools on sourcing activities, especially regarding ALSTOM UBUNYE South African railway revitalization and transformation program.
- Support to the sourcing controlling
- Support to the project sourcing management (suppliers financial, contractual and risk management);
- Specific assignments defined with Sourcing Department

**POSITION IN THE ORGANIZATION -**

**MAIN OFFICE LOCATION**:

- Located in Nigel (Ekurhuleni) at the production site
- May also be required to visit suppliers and other Alstom sites/offices
- Work with Cross Functional Teams to execute Sourcing Strategies i.e., Central Teams, Suppliers, Projects Team, Supplier Quality, Supplier Development, Supply-Chain, Quality, Engineering, Economic Development, Legal, Finance, etc.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Play in leading role in Sourcing Projects (RFx)
- To execute day-to-day buying at a specific region and ensure that purchasing transactions are directed through the correct procure-to-pay channel (e.g., emergency order vs pre-sourced order).
- Integrated in each domain team, the Buyer will deploy commodity strategy to serve local requirements while keeping in line with the Global Strategy at Central (ALSTOM)
- The Buyer will also be required to manage the contractual relationship with suppliers

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**SOURCING REPORTING AND MONITORING**

**Building robust reporting tools / KPIs on sourcing activities, covering**:

- Number and type of suppliers used for each train manufactured.
- Spend per commodity / supplier / category.
- Spend per currency.
- Spend with South-African suppliers, small and medium enterprises, black-women owned entities, etc.
- Preparing detailed analysis on variances between forecasted and actual spend. In case of issues/insufficient performances, defining and implementing remediation plans with the Sourcing Managers.

**SOURCING CONTROLLING ACTIVITIES**

**Ensuring efficient and accurate Sourcing Controlling activities, led by the Sourcing Work Package Controller, **by**:

- Ensuring the reconciliation between the business award, contract signed with the supplier and purchase orders issued.
- Ensuring the correct computation of the annual price escalations and supporting the negotiations with the suppliers.
- Preparing ad’hoc analysis required by the management.

**SOURCING PROJECT MANAGEMENT**

**Supporting the project sourcing management, covering**:

- Suppliers’ financial risk analysis.
- Risk management.

in order to identify and minimize all risks and maximize savings / identify opportunities that will result in improved productivity, quality, costs, delivery and economic development.

**METHODS AND TOOLS**
- Ensuring compliance to internal control best practices, especially on Procure to Pay process.
- Supporting internal and external audits (ISO, AFNOR, etc.).

**MISSIONS’ OWNER**
- Providing support to the Procurement Project Manager and Site Procurement Director on Sourcing-related strategy and tactics, to prepare presentations on all Sourcing, Supplier Development and Localization issues.

**CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS**

**EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS/DESIRED KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE & BEHAVIOUR**
- Strong financial qualification (CA)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Financial / accounting environment

**BEHAVIORAL AND TECHNICAL SKILLS / COMPETENCIES**
- Sufficient expertise to assess financial statements, business plan & cash flow forecast
- Ability to build financial recovery plan
- Knowledge of the industrial envi
