Draughtsman

_**Preparing both rough sketches and detailed work with CADD systems**_. Performing calculations for materials and weight limitations. Communicating with engineers, and incorporating knowledge gained into drawings. Preparing, reviewing and redrafting alongside the engineering team._

Drafting of Mechanical / engineering Drawings.

Compiling drawing packs for manufacturing

Drafting of new product (3D,2D profile drawings, mechanical drawings, and manuals).

Doing basic calculations for designs where needed.

Filling out requisitions of materials as per each job.

Compile bill of materials

Activate and check parts on Sage Evolution.

Comply With Company Policies and Procedures

**Requirements**:
Grade 12

National Diploma in Mechanical Drafting

7+ Years’ Experience with AutoCAD 2D and 3D

Previous experience of machining, welding, fabrication, and engineering assembly drawings.

Knowledge and experience in Pastel Evolution will be advantageous.

Understanding of machine components.

Understanding of mechanics.

Understanding the tension and forces needed for components.

General engineering manufacturing processes knowledge

3D-CAD-AUTOCAD Drawing and modelling experience.

Inventor modelling advantages.

Strong Computer Skills

Good Verbal and writing Skills in English

Able to take responsibility for projects.

Capable of using measuring instruments.

Able to work under pressure.
