Golf Manager

**VACANCY - GOLF MANAGER**

Established Golf Club has an opportunity for a knowledgeable, enthusiastic and reliable Golf Manager to direct and manage all aspects of golf at our Golf Club.

The Golf Manager, who will report to the Board, will be responsible for the following;
- Assist the Board and Management team to develop the Golf Club as the club of choice and to deliver on the annual and long-term plans for the Club.
- Be the prime point of contact for members and visitors
- Assist with securing golf group and corporate golf days.
- Responsible for efficient running of Group and corporate golf events.
- Liaise with relevant match captains to run inter club matches. (Men and Ladies) and responsible for all internal club competitions.
- Ensure the overall functionality of the golf section and golf course.
- Achieve budgets for golf section as agreed and set by the club.
- Oversees the operations of the outsourced pro-shop and golf booking system and ensures service levels are maintained.
- Oversees the operations the outsourced course maintenance contract and ensures adherence to the maintenance plan.
- Work as a team with the House Manager and Finance Manager to ensure the smooth operation of all aspects of the Club.
- Contribute to the content of the club website and social media platforms.
- Work with the Board and Management to ensure the club complies with all aspects of Health and Safety.

Requirements;
- Minimum of 2 years management experience in a golf club environment.
- Golf playing ability and an understanding of golf rules.
- IT knowledge. Advantage to have a working knowledge of the Jonas package.
- Experience in financial management and meeting financial targets.
- Problem solving ability
- Good communicator
- Ability to lead, manage, motivate and develop staff
- Employee will be required to work on weekends and public holidays and hours may extend due to seasonal or operational demands.

**Closing Date: 30.06.2023**

**Salary**: R15,000.00 - R25,000.00 per month

- Greyville, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
