Bar Supervisor

**Vacancy: BAR SUPERVISOR**

Royal Durban Golf Club (RDGC) has an opportunity for an enthusiastic, honest and reliable Bar Supervisor to assist with all aspects of running the bar, assisting with functions and providing excellent customer service to our members and visitors.

The Bar Supervisor will report to the House Manager and will be responsible for the following;
- Managing inventory and ordering of stock
- Daily supervision and training of bar staff (barmen, barhands and waitresses) as required
- Managing daily operations including opening and closing of the clubhouse and bar as required
- In conjunction with the office perform daily cash ups
- Performing cellar and bar inventory stocktakes
- Managing bar expenses and stock.
- Assist with golf days and functions in function rooms
- Manage after hours operations
- Implement bar promotion
- Drive bar sales.

**Requirements**:

- Grade 12
- Excellent English speaking skills
- Bar Supervisor working experience : 2 years (preferred)
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Computer literacy / MS office (required)
- Clear credit & criminal record (required)
- Previous golf club experience (preferred)
- Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
- Willing to follow instructions and ask questions for clarification if needed.
- Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system.
- Knowledge of stock control
- Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
- Positive attitude, excellent communication skills and ability work well under pressure with all staff
- Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
- Able to work in the evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- Reside in or near Greyville or surrounding areas, or be willing to relocate
- Must have traceable references
