**Head of Consulting (Cyber Security)**

**Main purpose of the role**:
The Head of Consulting determines the strategic objectives and roadmap for the Consulting division and ensures quality execution to bring a personalized yet scalable approach in transforming clients’ information security landscape to optimized levels through pragmatic guidance and best practice.

The Head of Consulting builds and owns the Consulting vision and mission, and leads and manages the Consulting division to provide advisory, consulting and implementation support to help our clients improve their information security and data privacy management systems, driving sustainable and profitable growth. The individual will also need to conduct consulting engagements and be client facing as well.

The team is comprised of a mix of consulting and technical specialists as well as niche consultants across the global Group. Performanta has clients and offices in MEA, Europe and the USA. Performanta aims to grow this team on the back of organic growth and market requirements. Efficient and profitable use of the lead role’s time and these resources across the global for both internal and external programs will be a key focal point.

This includes the assessment of risks and data privacy protection requirements, and the design, development and implementation of information security and regulatory frameworks in line with business objectives based on security requirement standards like ISO 27000 & 9001, COBIT & ITIL Framework, GDPR and POPI.

**Qualifications**:
B.Sc. IT or Security/B. Com IT/ MBA Advantageous or relevant experience.

**Certification**:

- ISO 27000 series.
- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or Certified Information Systems
Security Professional (CISSP).
- Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) advantageous.
- Architecture frameworks: One or more of TOGAF, SABSA or Zachmann &
Bredemeyer.
- Control Objectives for Information and Related Technologies (COBIT) and
Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).

**Expertise**:

- Strategy development, ownership and execution.
- Business / operational management - Business planning, budget management and
forecasting, resource planning and allocation, Consulting division P&L ownership
and management.
- Business development and sales support.
- Development of a framework-based approach to enable scalable service delivery,
- People management and development.
- A broad range of business management and security experience:

- 3 - 5 years’ leading and managing a Consulting team.
- 8 - 10 years’ work experience in information security and data privacy management
or equivalent.
- Proven understanding and awareness of current developments in the global Cyber
Security environment and within the local markets, and adapting existing or
building new services in response.
- Proven ability to work effectively with other consultants and client representatives,
including board-level engagements.
- Security architecture experience; Risk assessment and management; ISO 27000
and 9001; Governance Risk and Compliance.
- Data privacy legislation.
- General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- Protection of Personal Information (POPI).

Consulting and other Performanta Divisions.

**Key performance areas**

1. Sustainable, profitable and scalable growth of the Consulting division while also
identifying and developing opportunities - where appropriate - for other areas
of the business, e.g. Managed Security Services.

2. Divisional P&L Management.

3. Consulting division people and resource development, certification, etc.

4. Framework development to enable repeatable, scalable delivery.

5. Contribute and build Performanta’s thought leadership (within existing client
base and prospects) and market reputation.

6. Assess Client Security and Data Privacy vulnerabilities and recommend data
protection solutions.

7. Plan and build Data Privacy Initiatives.

8. Implement Security and Privacy Initiatives.

9. Quality assurance of Consulting deliverables and continuous improvement.

**Technical knowledge / competencies.**
- Good understanding of risk, regulatory and compliance issues (e.g. international
privacy requirements, ISO27000 & 9001, SSAE 16, COBIT, Financial Services
Regulatory expectations).
