Employee Benefits and Payroll Consultant

**Job Duties/Responsibilities will include**:
Designing a remuneration strategy, policy and solutions in collaboration with key stakeholders
Developing, maintaining and updating salary scales and models based on best practices
Implementing a job evaluation and grading process
Implementing and maintaining payroll processes and practices aimed at ensuring efficiency
Driving and monitoring the implementation of related policies and procedures and ensuring that non-compliance is addressed and corrected
Managing the payroll process to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely salary and wage payments
Managing timeous reconciliation of payroll and ensuring the on-time availability of Month-end Reports
Overseeing and providing guidance with regards to the health benefit offering to employees
Providing guidance with regards to the management and administration of member additions and all claims (health and retirement, workman's compensation claims)
Managing the administration of benefits, including the reconciliation and uploading of monthly retirement and medical fund files
Ensuring the correct administration of third-party payments on behalf of the employees
Providing expert advice to the business with regards to remuneration and benefits solutions
A proven track record of functioning at a senior management level within a corporate environment with strong knowledge and experience in a complex payroll environment
A good understanding and experience in remuneration solutions and employee benefits
Experience in a highly unionised production/ FMCG sector
Minimum of 5 years relevant working experience in a corporate financial environment
Bachelor's Degree in Business, HR or related field
Diploma in Payroll Management and/or Remuneration would be beneficial
Knowledge of SAGE PEOPLE 300 would be beneficial
