**Job Advert Summary**:
The PPS MVP Department is looking for an individual to complement its already very talented team. This position is based at PPS Head Office, in Parktown. The role will focus on supporting the Actuarial Business Solutions Team in fulfilling their duties specifically with regards to new product development (including pricing and execution), management of existing products and key processes and providing key actuarial input to PPS Insco’s strategic goals.

**Minimum Requirements**:
**Education**:

- Matric
- Completed University Degree majoring in Actuarial Science, honours is preferable
- Making good progress with actuarial exams, with at least 5 CTs

***Knowledge and Skills (maximum of 10)**:

- Knowledge of MS Office
- Strong Excel skills
- SQL coding. Power BI and Python will be beneficial.
- Prophet will be beneficial.

**Experience**
- At least 2-3 years’ work experience, most of which spent in a life insurance environment.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Assist with actuarial investigations including experience studies and associated reporting.
- Development of actuarial pricing models and the implementation of these on the Prophet system.
- Analysing PPS data and experience to better support product development decisions and to assist the broader business in its functions.
- Assistance with the building of calculators and PowerBI dashboards.
- Competitor research, including reviews of product launches, regular rate reviews and competitor financials review.
- Compilation of management reports and special investigations from time to time.
- Providing actuarial support to the Actuarial Services Department and the broader business.
- Provide ad-hoc assistance on other strategic projects.
- Provide support to business related to query resolution and the management of the Product Development inbox
