Head Ranger

High end Private Game Reserve in Greater Kruger is looking for an experienced and passionate Head Ranger / Lodge Anchor Couple. Please note that these positions are not child & pet friendly.

**Head Ranger**:
**Requirements**:

- Minimum 5 years guiding experience in a Big 5 reserve with in a similar lodge environment
- Previous head ranger or assistant head ranger experience
- FGASA Level 2 / 3 qualification
- Full Trails Guide qualification
- Valid PDP
- Valid Code 08 Drivers’ License
- DEAT registered
- First Aid level 1/2/3
- 3 Unit Standards
- Rifle Competency
- Advanced Rifle Handling (ARH)

**Lodge Anchor**:
Responsible for:

- Administration duties.
- Assist with day-to-day operations to ensure the lodge runs smoothly.
- Maintain high standard in guest satisfaction and service.
- Following standard operating procedures.
- Ensure all incoming guest’s requirements, rooms and particulars are in place.
- Check-ins and check-outs.
- Coordination of service.
- Managing stock, breakages, stock taking.
- Manage staff in terms of and food and beverage service.
- Housekeeping room checks.
- Assist with supervising and stocktaking in Safari Shop.
- Processing bar sales, stock control and ordering.
- Assist with special requests from guests
- Duty Manager Shifts

**Requirements**:

- Matric & a formal qualification
- FOH experience in a 5* Lodge environment
- Good discipline and fair treatment of staff, to be a role model.
