We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team.
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage financial data entry and record-keeping using Sage Pastel Version 14, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
- Capture supplier journals accurately and in a timely manner, maintaining an organized and up-to-date system.
- Process medical invoices verifying details, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring prompt payment.
- Analyse and reconcile laboratory spreadsheets, ensuring accurate recording of financial information and identifying any discrepancies or errors.
- Provide timely feedback to the laboratory team regarding any financial discrepancies or issues, assisting in resolving them effectively.
- Address internal and external queries related to financial transactions, invoices, and payments, providing timely and professional responses to maintain good relationships.
- Prepare and submit foreign payments, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and maintaining accurate records.
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial procedures, such as reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting.
- Collaborate with the finance team to support financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
- Capture overhead monthly invoices and ensure timeous payment
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Matric qualification (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar finance administration role.
- Proficiency in using Sage Pastel Version 14 or a similar accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective problem-solving abilities to address queries and resolve issues promptly.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of foreign payment processes and relevant regulations is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical billing or healthcare finance is an advantage.
- A relevant finance or accounting qualification is desirable.
