- Safe operation of the stage.
- Conduct all assigned work in a satisfactory and competent manner.
- Ensuring the safety of the employees under his/her control.
- Complying with the Health and Safety policy and practices of the company.

**Minimum requirements**
- Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent
- Valid Onsetters certificate
- Drill Rig Operator Certificate of Competency
- Competency A, B and AB
- Sound co-ordination skills
- Sound verbal and written communication skills in English
- At least 1 year mining experience
- Previous working experience as a Stagehand
- Shaft sinking, equipping and construction experience
- Working in an underground mining environment.
- Knowledge of Shaft Concrete Lining, Bank Operation, Concrete Related Work, Batch Plant, Wet Crete
- Applications, Civil Construction.
- Sound drilling and blasting knowledge for the specific mining sector
- Knowledge of sound people management practices, including basic conditions of employment.
- Extensive shaft sinking experience and all related disciplines (preferred)
