Royal Malewane Lodges, through The Royal Portfolio Foundation supports a number of local communities in various ways. One upcoming project is the launch of a Library and Computer Centre at Sihlekisi Primary School in Sigagule Village, near Hoedspruit. The Foundation team is looking to employ a Librarian to lead the implementation and manage the operation of a new Library and Computer Centre on site.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Manage the library and computer room at the school
- Communicate with the computer supplier to ensure computers are kept in good working order
- Assist Learners in the library
- Assist Learners with the computers as needed
- Train and assist the Teachers to access teaching materials on the computer/ online
- Run enrichment classes for Learners
- Set up a reading programme
- Assist learners to learn to read
- Once a week, visit one of the two creches in the area for a morning, to assist their Teachers with their ECD learning programme. In the afternoon, visit SAME (an afterschool centre) to assist Learners with their educational needs.

**Requirements & Qualifications**:

- A tertiary qualification as Educator or Librarian, will be a distinct advantage
- At least 5 years experience in a classroom environment
- Experience working with a library cataloguing system is preferred
- Excellent computer skills, including advanced level of Microsoft Office, Google Classroom and Google docs
- Passion for teaching
- Must live within a reasonable daily commute to Sigagule Village

South African citizenship is advantageous. A valid work permit is essential if you are not in possession of a South African ID document.
