**TREASURY ACCOUNTING OFFICER**

**Tyger valley, Bellville**

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

The main responsibility for this position will entail executing and accounting for Treasury transactions which includes, but not limited to the following:

- Ensuring all transactions are accounted for within the Treasury operations, including intercompany accounts and associated requirements.
- Monthly set of Treasury accounts to be produced for review and sign off.
- Formal independent Treasury reporting packs to be produced for review and sign off.
- Maintenance of Treasury risk register to serve as early warning on risk parameter breaches, in order to facilitate corrective action.
- Producing monthly bank account reconciliation reports for review and sign off.
- Ad-hoc independent Treasury reporting requirements.

**ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- This position requires working closely with the various business partners.
- Prepare and reconcile the settlement accounts on Treasury Management system.
- Reconcile Treasury General Ledger accounts in JDE system.
- Prepare monthly summary of the ageing and resolution of unreconciled items to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare funding requests via online banking platforms and Treasury Management system.
- Assist /resolve ad hoc issues / queries.
- Provide support with innovation & automation initiatives/projects.
- Assist and prepare monthly Treasury Management Information packs from the Treasury Management system with commentary and variance analysis.
- Internal and external stakeholder engagement.

QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE
- B Com (Acc) / B Com Finance Degree with Financial Accounting major
- Completed SAICA articles (advantageous)
- Accounting via JD Edwards /Oracle system experience (advantageous)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Financial Accounting / Treasury department
- General Ledger reconciliation experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience on online banking platforms
- Previous experience in a Treasury environment and Treasury Management System

**KNOWLEDGE**
- Computer literate (Advanced Excel)
- Working knowledge of IFRS Accounting principles
