Risk Assessment
Developing and implementing risk management strategies that align with the company’s objectives and risk tolerance level, including risk mitigation and risk transfer strategies.
Monitoring compliance, assisting the Head of Group Regulatory Compliance & Risk to ensure that the company is complying with all relevant regulatory requirements, including AML, KYC, and data protection laws.
Developing and implementing fraud detection and prevention measures (including data analytics) to protect the company from financial losses resulting from fraudulent activities.
Establishing and enforcing internal controls to minimise the risk of errors, omissions, or other types of operational failures.
Providing regular reports to senior management on the company’s risk exposure, risk management strategies, and performance against established risk management objectives.
Continuously monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the company’s risk management strategies and implementing changes to improve performance over time.
Developing and implementing crisis management plans to respond to potential crises or unexpected events that could impact the company’s operations or reputation.
Support the provision of training and education to employees on risk management, fraud prevention, and compliance issues.

**Qualifications**:
Relevant university degree(s), i.e., internal auditing, financial / statutory accounting, law etc.
Completed a professional qualification CISA, ACCA, CIMA, CA(SA), CFA, or equivalent qualifications from IIA or IRM.
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in in risk management, preferably in the payments, banking, or insurance industries.
Solid understanding of risk management principles, including risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring.
Ability to gather, analyse, and interpret data to identify potential risks and propose effective risk mitigation strategies.
Proficiency in risk management software and tools (preferably “Decision Time”).
Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex risk management concepts to a variety of stakeholders, including senior management and external stakeholders.
Strong analytical and data-driven approach to risk management, yet able to adapt to changing circumstances and to take a pragmatic approach.
