**PURPOSE OF THE JOB**:
**KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS**:

- Utilize advanced analytical techniques to develop accurate demand forecasts by analyzing historical data, market trends, and other relevant factors.
- Leverage expertise in forecasting software to generate precise demand predictions and continuously improve forecasting methodologies.
- Facilitate the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) Demand Review process by coordinating with sales, marketing, production, and supply chain teams to align demand forecasts with production, inventory, and distribution plans.
- Oversee and manage the implementation and optimization of demand planning software tools, leveraging their capabilities to enhance forecast accuracy and streamline processes.
- Collaborate closely with the commercial team to gather market insights, customer feedback, and sales data to incorporate into the forecasting process and build forecasts using clear and quantitative assumptions on the drivers of demand.
- Provide a comprehensive understanding of market trends, competitor behavior, and consumer preferences to drive proactive adjustments to demand forecasts and inventory strategies.
- Interpret complex supply chain dynamics, identifying potential risks and opportunities, and providing actionable recommendations to mitigate disruptions and capitalize on market shifts.
- Develop and deliver insightful presentations that highlight demand forecasts, trends, and potential impacts on the business, facilitating informed decision-making at all levels.
- Exhibit strong leadership skills by guiding and mentoring junior team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment, and driving continuous improvement within the demand planning function.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of demand planning processes, methodologies, and assumptions to ensure transparency and accuracy.
- Engage cross-functional teams to communicate demand forecasts, insights, and recommendations, ensuring alignment and consensus.
- Act as a problem solver by identifying and addressing demand planning challenges, supply chain bottlenecks, and potential risks to operations.
- Develop and present comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate demand forecasts, trends, and performance metrics to key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) to assist in optimizing inventory management, order fulfillment, and distribution processes through improved demand planning.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the demand planning process, incorporating best practices and innovative approaches.
- Plan and analyze promotions, new product launches, and products being discontinued to anticipate their impact on demand forecasts.
- Stay updated with retail industry trends and dynamics, incorporating this knowledge into demand forecasts, and planning strategies.

**EDUCATIONAL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Statistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or a related role within a dynamic and fast-paced industry.
- Proficiency in SAP APO/IBP (or industry equivalent forecasting software).
- Proficiency in utilizing advanced statistical and analytical tools for forecasting, coupled with a strong understanding of demand planning software.
- Demonstrated expertise in Sales & Operations Planning processes, with a proven track record of contributing to cross-functional collaboration and decision-making.

- Expertise in providing high-level overviews of underlying data, transforming complex information into actionable insights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and formulae, to manipulate and analyze data effectively.
- Deep understanding of interpreting market trends and their impact on demand patterns and inventory strategies.
- Thorough grasp of supply chain dynamics, including procurement, production, and distribution processes.
- The ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and a track record of delivering results in a deadline-driven environment.
