Safari JOBS is searching for a Field-Tour Guide for a stunning, family-friendly tourism destination situated in Gauteng.

This pristine nature reserve protects some of the largest and most unspoiled areas of remaining high-altitude dolomitic grasslands and is home to Leopards, Brown Hyenas as well as antelope such as the magnificent Eland, Blesbok, Kudu, Blue Wildebeest and Red Hartebeest among other species.

This very busy property is frequented by both international and local South African Guests and offers you the chance to work a world-acclaimed establishment, rich in phenomenal history.

:
Valid RSA Driver's License and PrDP;
Nature Site Guide NQF 2 / Field Guide NQF 2;
Valid First Aid;
Minimum 2 - 3 years Field Guide experience;
Be passionate and knowledgeable in the area of nature conservation and wildlife;
Due to shorter work cycles (5 days on, 2 days off) your home must be based in Gauteng;
Weekend work is essential as these are the busiest days

&:
Provide an excellent game experience to domestic and international guests, including game drives and bush walks;
Property Tour Guide for caves and other;
Assist with bush projects;
Coordinating and executing activities;
You will be required to educate guests on the flora, fauna and geology of the area;
Ensure the overall safety and well-being of guests while in your supervision;
Be knowledgeable on the safety and emergency procedures;
Ensure the game vehicle is properly checked and prepared for guests prior to their game drive;
Regular checks on the working condition of game drive vehicles and equipment;
Great interpersonal skills, interacting with and assisting guests, when necessary, which contributes to creating a memorable experience for guests;
Ensure rules are enforced, the animals on property are protected and habitats are secure;
Understand and follow the radio communication procedures set into place;
Be available to provide additional assistance when necessary to ensure the smooth operation of the department;
Provide staff with training on the activities provided at the property

CTC package inclusive of: Basic salary of between R12 - R14, 000.00 neg. DOE & qualifications;

Accommodation: Single private room, shared bathroom;
1 meal per day;
Uniform;
Free Wi-Fi;
Only deductions are: PAYE & UIF

5 days on - 2 days off. Weekend work is essential as these are the busiest days.
