This key position will report directly to the Internal Audit Specialist Manager and will be an integral part of our prestigious Internal Audit Division, based in Pretoria.

As a Clinical Specialist Internal Auditor, you will play a crucial role in executing and planning specialised audits within our Medical Scheme (Clinical). Your expertise will be instrumental in supporting the delivery of audits, focusing on the following Key Performance Areas.

**To be considered for this position, the following qualifications and experience are required**:

- A Degree/Diploma in Medical/Clinical Science or a related field
- An additional qualification in Internal Auditing would be advantageous
- A minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in the Medical Scheme industry, with at least 3 years of specific experience in Internal Auditing within medical aid schemes
- Proficiency in performing clinical audits
- Prior experience in internal auditing within the medical scheme industry
- Preference will be given to - Familiarity with the medical schemes industry.

**Qualifications & Requirements**:

- Possession of a Senior Certificate (Grade 12-Matric) is a mandatory requirement
- Holding a qualification in Lean Warehousing, Supply Chain, or Industrial Engineering is desirable
- Having a Degree or Diploma in any Business Discipline would be advantageous.
- A valid Driver's license is required.

**Here's an overview of the responsibilities you'll have in this role**:

- Collaborating in the development and maintenance of the Audit universe
- Assisting in the formulation of a risk-based internal audit plan
- Identifying, assessing, and documenting risks and controls
- Creating effective test strategies to ensure controls adequacy and thorough testing
- Evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of controls
- Managing stakeholder expectations and commitments
- Producing comprehensive working papers, findings, and audit reports for assigned projects
- Providing valuable input into the development of CAATS (Computer-Assisted Audit Techniques) test cases and scripts
- Supporting the delivery of audits that require technical medical Scheme expertise, including integrated audits

- Proficiency in utilising MS Office and navigating the internet
- Ability to work autonomously, efficiently organise tasks, and execute auditing functions with precision
- Capacity to handle and perform effectively under pressure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with prominent external risk and controls frameworks such as COSO and ISO 31000
