The South Africa-Based Project Manager, Extended Hours plays a crucial role in elevating our after-hours client support experience. Reporting to the Research Services Director, you'll collaborate with an international team spanning the globe. As a vital part of our growing business operations, we'll rely on your project organization skills, attention to detail, and responsiveness.- This role supports the Research Services team during the weekdays of their shift and over the weekend. During the weekdays, you will work in close collaboration with the lead Project Managers. On Saturdays and Sundays, you will work autonomously, acting as an extension of the Project Management team to deliver on project goals and continuity in client communication.**LOCATION AND SHIFT**
- The shift for this position aligns with US business hours in Central Time. The employee can choose between the following schedule options:
- 7am - 6pm CT (2pm - 1am SAT) - Friday through Monday (four, 10-hour days)
- 8am - 5pm CT (3pm - 12am SAT) - Thursday through Monday

What you will do:

- Use multiple software platforms to process and navigate through support requests
- Maintain high support volumes with mínimal supervision
- On business days, support service operations:

- Assist Primary Project Managers with project setup, link testing, daily status reports, fielding recommendations, supplier updates, DIY sample management, and reconciliations
- Liaise with suppliers to gather information for quotes and support coordinate projects in field
- Monitor project queue at start, middle, and end of shift to assist with task assignments to ensure deadlines for all incoming tasks are met
- On weekends, independently keep service operations running:

- Act as an extension of the Project Management team on the weekends and deliver the highest level of service in an ever-changing, fast turnaround environment
- Proactively facilitate advanced market research projects with survey programming, sample delivery, and post-field deliverables from kickoff to successful close
- Lead all aspects of client communication during project delivery including timelines, project execution, updates and issue resolution
- Lead and coordinate support from internal team members and third party partners with clear specifications, timelines, and expectations
- Provide prompt, proactive, and consultative task management
- Clearly and effectively communicate project handoff details and potential challenges to colleagues maintaining a coverage notes log for each project

What you bring:

- Required:

- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience
- 1-2 years hands-on services or operations experience in a client-facing and sales-driven environment
- Permanent residence is South Africa
- Native-like fluency in business English, with a wide knowledge of various professional terms from different industries
- An at-home fibre internet connection with a minimum speed of 20 Mbps
- Strongly preferred:

- Located within commuting distance of Cape Town CBD, for occasional team and office get togethers.
- Knowledge and experience of DIY sampling platforms, and co-ordination of sample collection across a variety of vendors and clients
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including knowledge of advanced formulas, VLOOKUP, and pivot tables
