**Job Responsibilities: Junior Sales associate**
- Business development which includes calling prospective prospects and sales pitches to clients.
- Be part of daily/ weekly sales meetings to review performance and address any issues in the field as well as any effective strategies that could be applied to other deals.
- Conduct a monthly, 6-month and yearly territory analysis.
- Research prospective clients based on the target market to identify new business opportunities & qualify leads with a high probability of closing.
- Schedule monthly calls with current clients and follow up to touch base.
- Maintain and update sales CRM daily and keeping up to date of other administrative tasks.
- Execute agreed number of sales calls every week.
- Prepare for weekly sales meetings.
- Maintain a strong pipeline for the regions.
- Assist with onboarding of new team members with product and systems training.
- Assist with drafting business plans, sales pitches, presentations, reference material and other documents as required
- Actively researching and understanding the marketplace, and identifying key decision-makers and sales opportunities.
- Adjust and prepare proposals for prospective partners based on the needs assessment that you’ve done for their institution. You’ll make sure that you drive home the value proposition, what makes us different and the benefits for the partner.
- Provide feedback to the product development team on market needs and trends to inform future product development.
- Coordinate with other team members and departments to optimize the sales effort.
- A high school degree in a related field.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in sales or a work environment.
- Experience working with institutions, corporates, government, and partners (preferred)
- Translating complex and technical data into digestible format for easy consumption
- Complex problem solving
- Copywriting and editing for academic as well as mass consumption
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Presentation skills
- Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with clients, partners and other stakeholders
- Computer experience for a variety of tasks
- Has a love of learning and is always learning new things.
- Energetic self-starter and can work comfortably in a fast paced environment
- Strong commitment to our mission and using technology to make a difference.
- An engaging personality and a healthy sense of humor (e.g., someone we want to get stuck in an airport with)

**Salary**:
There is a base pay which will be dependent on your skills, experience, and career path. Furthermore you will receive a bonus for each successful demo booked.

**Salary**: R5 000,00 - R6 500,00 per month

**Education**:

- High School (matric) (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Sales: 1 year (preferred)
- Call centre: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)
