Jewellery Consultant

An understanding of what goes into making up jewellery from scratch is vital. The role is a combination of admin, sales and design. The person we’re looking for will have to be highly organised for the admin part of the job, but also creative for the design aspect. Ideally we’d like someone with a minimum of three years’ experience in the jewellery industry with a strong sales slant. The person will have to work well under pressure as it’s a busy office. We deal with sophisticated clients so being presentable and having good communication skills is required. Attention to detail is vital. Being able to cost jewellery from scratch is a bonus.

**Skills required**:
Excellent Jewellery Sales Experience

Solid jewellery technical knowledge is essential

Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook

Team player

**Duties include**:
Sales

Sourcing diamonds and gemstones at best prices

Sourcing ready-made items including pearls and chains

Interpreting and drawing designs for bespoke items

Meeting with clients and fulfilling orders

Invoicing of sales

Liaising with workshops

Compiling valuations

**Job Types**: Full-time, Commission, Permanent

**Salary**: R13,000.00 - R20,000 per month depending on experience, including commission.
